About OrthoCodes
OrthoCodes builds the billing section of an orthopaedic operative note. Search a procedure or diagnosis by code, name or eponym, fill in the side and details, and copy ready-to-paste CPT and ICD-10 wording with the work RVUs and Medicare amount for the case.
It was built by an orthopaedic surgery resident to make coding at the end of a case faster and more accurate. It is free to use, with no ads and no account required.
Where the numbers come from
- RVUs and Medicare amounts: the CMS 2026 Physician Fee Schedule (facility). Medicare amounts are national, before geographic adjustment.
- Multiple-procedure and modifier payment rules: the Medicare Claims Processing Manual, chapter 12.
- Code-pair (bundling) checks: the CMS National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) procedure-to-procedure edits.
- Diagnoses: ICD-10-CM, maintained by CMS and the National Center for Health Statistics.
Payers vary, and codes and rules change every year. Treat OrthoCodes as a fast starting point and confirm anything you are unsure about with your coder or payer. See the Terms for the full disclaimer.
Your privacy
Don't enter patient names or other identifiers. When you copy a sheet, OrthoCodes records only which codes were used, never the wording. The Privacy Policy has the details.
